Rob Strong is a Managing Director of Acquisitions at The Milestone Group, where he is responsible for sourcing and executing multifamily investment opportunities nationwide, as well as expanding the firm’s strategic institutional relationships. Mr. Strong joined The Milestone Group in 2026 from Ares Management Corporation, where he most recently served as a Managing Director in the firm’s U.S. diversified real estate equity strategy. Prior to Ares, Mr.Strong was a Managing Director at Lone Star Funds in the U.S. Real Estate Group, investing across all asset classes for multiple opportunistic and value‑add closed‑end private equity vehicles. During his near 10-year tenure at LoneStar, he played key roles in acquiring more than 50,000 multifamily units. Mr. Strong began his career in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs. He holds a B.B.A.in Finance and Accounting, magna cum laude, from Texas Christian University,and is a CFA charter holder.
