The Opportunity

The Milestone Group is a leading national real estate investment firm focused on the U.S. multifamily sector. The firm relies on rigorous research, analytics and active investment management which the firm has combined to deliver industry leading returns over the last 20 years and across $9 billion of real estate investments.

Milestone is looking for a dynamic individual to join its investment team. As our Investment Associate / Analyst, you will be a key team player in the investment activities of the firm’s private equity real estate funds and other investment vehicles. The successful candidate will be excited to leverage their strong analytical skills, understanding of financial concepts and real estate knowledge to be an effective team member across an array of responsibilities in our investment team. This position will be located in one of our three offices.

You will

• Support the firm’s acquisitions team through market research, analyzing and underwriting investment opportunities, preparing investment presentations and assisting in due diligence

• Work closely with acquisitions and asset management in developing business plans for new investment opportunities

• Support the firm’s capital market and portfolio management activities as needed including investor presentations, capital raising marketing presentations, investor due diligence and portfolio analytics

You have

• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Degree in business, finance, or real estate preferred; MBA is a plus

• One to five years relevant experience in real estate, finance, private equity or investment banking is required

• Strong interest in multifamily real estate investments; experience in acquisitions, underwriting, financial modeling and/or working in the apartment industry is preferred

• Demonstrated comfort with multitasking and an ability to thrive in a fluid and fast-paced environment

• Attention to detail and an ability to stay organized and meet deadlines

• Poise and an ability to interface with senior management, investors, brokers and other industry professionals

• Willingness to travel if needed
